Client Security Awareness
Security reminder: Our call to stay vigilant
Impersonation in crypto is on the rise, and we’ve seen it firsthand. Clients have returned to us after encountering firms trying to pass themselves off as Keyrock. But impersonation is just one piece of a much bigger issue.
Every day, new breaches and attacks compromise sensitive information and crypto assets, leading to financial losses and reputational damage. Cyber threats aren’t static: they’re constantly evolving, becoming more sophisticated and harder to detect. In this landscape, security and vigilance aren’t optional, they’re essential. A proactive approach is mandatory.
Implementing robust preventative security protocols, continuous monitoring, and regular audits is critical to protecting assets, data, and overall business operations. At Keyrock, our commitment to security goes beyond compliance or smart contract audits, it’s a fundamental principle that shapes everything we do. By investing in advanced security measures, conducting thorough due diligence, and fostering a culture of awareness, we help create an environment where trust isn’t just built. It’s sustained.
Here’s how you can do your part:
1. Verify Keyrock domains
Trust only our official website: https://keyrock.com/.
Cybercriminals often create fake sites that closely mimic legitimate ones. Before engaging, double-check the URL for accuracy. We may reach out to you using an email address from keyrock.com or keyrock.eu. If you receive any communication from an email associated with a different domain, please do not hesitate to contact us to verify its authenticity. Spoofed domains and emails can be convincing; don’t let them catch you off guard.
2. Use official Keyrock channels
Always verify who’s reaching out to you. If something feels off, contact us directly through our social channels.
Our official X handle is: https://x.com/KeyrockTrading
Our official LinkedIn page is: https://www.linkedin.com/company/keyrock
3. Double-check Wallet addresses
Before sending funds, verify wallet addresses meticulously. A single incorrect character can result in irreversible losses. Test transactions can help mitigate risks: start with a small amount to ensure the address is correct. This simple step saves significant stress later.
4. Protect sensitive information
Your personal and financial information is valuable, keep it secure. Never share sensitive details through direct messages or unencrypted formats. Fraudsters may try to extract this information, so it’s essential to be cautious. Avoid transmitting sensitive data over unsecured public networks. Encrypt and secure your data, as you secure your private keys and credentials.
5. Beware of phishing
Phishing attempts often arrive as unsolicited messages or suspicious links. Even a single careless click can compromise your security. Always question unexpected messages or emails. If something feels off, don’t engage.
6. Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
MFA is a straightforward but powerful security measure. By requiring a second form of verification beyond your password, it significantly reduces the likelihood of unauthorised access. Enable MFA for both your Keyrock accounts and other crypto platforms. Use Multi-sig wallets to avoid unauthorised transactions.
7. Report suspicious activity
If you notice anything unusual, such as fake messages, phishing attempts, or unauthorised activity, report it immediately. Contact us directly at [email protected] so we can investigate and take the necessary steps to protect you and others. Your vigilance helps protect the entire community.
Stay Ahead of the Threats
Bad actors will always try to exploit the system. But the best defence isn’t just technology: it’s awareness, vigilance, and proactive action.
Security in crypto isn’t a checkbox to tick. It’s an ongoing discipline. One that requires careful verification, strong protective measures, and a sceptical eye for anything that seems off.
At Keyrock, we don’t just react to threats, we anticipate them. By adopting the right security practices and staying alert, you’re not just protecting your assets. You’re strengthening the entire ecosystem. Stay sharp, stay secure, and when in doubt, always verify.
